ALTIPLANO – The giant Andean plain
Altiplano is a high altitude plain in the Andean mountains of Peru, Bolivia, Chile and Argentina. It is the second largest in the world, only beaten by the Tibetan plain. With strong cultural and spiritual traditions the amerindian peoples are in a transition from an ancient to a modern lifestyle.
